SCHEDULED EVERY SUNDAY IN OCTOBER 2007

Starting in September, we schedule 24 hour Tuna Trips to the Hudson Canyon or other Canyons within our range. We target Yellowfin Tuna, Albacore Tuna (Longfin), and Mahi-Mahi. Other fish you may see consist of Bluefin Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Swordfish, Mako Sharks, or even Tilefish. These trips last until early November.

Starting mid-November, we being our Deepwater Wreck Specials targeting Giant Sea Bass, Pollack, and Codfish. Occasionally we catch Jumbo Porgies, Bluefish, Wreckfish, and Hake.

Both of these trips are reservation only, and have a strict 28 passenger limit due to the vessels size and layout. The Captree Princess is 80 feet long and has seating in her main cabin for 36 people as well as bunks below issued on a first come basis.

As far as the weather goes, we do take every precaution to ensure a safe comfortable voyage. Sometimes however, the ocean currents opposing the forecasted wind can make for a steep chop and some trips will be slightly rougher than others. Your reservation on both Tuna Trips and our Deepwater Wreck Trips will be held until the final decision is made by the Captain Only! We ask our clientele to trust the judgment of our skipper when it comes to weather and safety concerns. Sometimes the trip will be a last minute decision, waiting for the latest updated forecast which is at 5:00pm . Then our answering service will be updated on whether or not the trip is a go. If the trip is cancelled due to the weather, you will be fully refunded, or you can reschedule.

The Captree Princess will create a "last minute trip" list which is a list of fishermen who will be contacted if there is a window of opportunity to sail. You will be contacted at least 1 day before the trip. These will be unscheduled, and normally on weekdays with a limited load. This means more fish. Part of these trips will be exploratory wreck hunting for Cod or Giant Sea Bass. Please fill out the information below if you believe you can attend these "last minute tips". Thank you.
